Elena is a BACP-accredited psychotherapist and member of COSRT who has been qualified since 2008. She has extensive experience working with couples navigating infidelity, betrayal and neurodiverse relationships, including relationships affected by ADHD. She also works with expat and international couples managing the particular pressures of life across borders.
She is the founder and Director of Heathwell Therapies, a leading multidisciplinary London practice recognised for its strong specialism in couples and relationship therapy. Alongside leading Heathwell, Elena continues to work directly with couples, bringing the same depth of clinical experience to her intensive work.
Her approach is grounded in existential and humanistic psychotherapy. She helps couples become more intentional in how they relate, make sense of their experiences together and make informed choices about the future of their relationship.

Elena’s approach
Elena works in a direct, active way. She is not a quiet observer in the room; she asks pointed questions, challenges assumptions, and pushes back when a couple is circling rather than confronting what's actually happening between them. Her approach draws on existential principles and differentiation, but in practice this means something quite concrete: she helps each partner notice how much of what they hear from the other is filtered through their own history, fears, and expectations, rather than what was actually said.
Couples often come to her stuck in patterns they can describe perfectly but can't seem to break. Elena's role is to interrupt that pattern in the room itself, in real time, rather than simply discussing it in the abstract. She will name what she sees happening between two people as it happens, and ask each partner to sit with that rather than deflect from it.
A significant part of her work focuses on infidelity, betrayal trauma, and the process of rebuilding trust. She does not approach infidelity as something to be quickly repaired or smoothed over. She works with couples to face what has happened directly, creating space for the full impact to be expressed while holding the partner who was unfaithful firmly to account, so that whatever a couple decides, the decision is made consciously, with clarity, not out of avoidance or fear.
Her aim throughout is intentionality: helping couples develop the ability to make informed, deliberate choices about their relationship, rather than defaulting to old patterns because they are familiar.
